The Best 4K Laptop For Gamers To Play With High Resolution System

If you’re looking to buy a 4K laptop, you may have already noticed that the vast majority of options are quite expensive and they often carry with them heftier price tags than those which include slightly lower resolution displays. While it’s certainly true that investing in this cutting-edge display technology can be challenging from a financial perspective, you may find that the performance benefits of buying into the 4K laptop category are worth every penny. If you’re willing to pay top dollar for premium performance, then you should definitely consider investing in one of these powerful laptops in 2022.

Things to know about the 4K Laptop

Before you buy a laptop that can display at Ultra HD (UHD) resolution, also called 4K, you should know exactly what it is and how to determine whether your computer will support it. At present, only high-end laptops and some desktops are able to handle UHD. If you’re planning on buying a mid-range Best 4K Laptop or computer monitor in around two years’ time, then odds are that you’ll be able to see these images without having to worry about compatibility issues.

Know about the processing speed of your 4K laptop

The faster your processor is, the more quickly it will be able to run multiple tasks at once and do complex calculations. For example, if you’re playing a 3D game or editing a home movie on your 4K laptop, you’ll want a processor that can handle these tasks without lagging or skipping. That’s why speed should be one of your top considerations when buying a new laptop.

Choose the RAM based on your work requirements

One of the most important factors to consider when buying a laptop is how much RAM you’ll need for your work. If you’re planning on doing any type of heavy-duty photo or video editing, you might want to get at least 8GB of RAM. Otherwise, 6GB should be sufficient for day-to-day use. For lighter tasks like surfing and emailing, 4GB is fine, although it might mean longer loading times.

1) ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED UX582 4K Laptop

The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED- and its sibling, the ZenBook Pro 15- are among the most expensive Ultrabooks 4K Laptop out there. With prices starting at $2399 USD and $1899 USD respectively, one must wonder if they’re worth it. In this review, we take a look at what makes the Asus ZenBook Pro Duo 15 OLED so special- and if it justifies the price tag. If you’re looking to invest in an Ultrabook that sets you apart from the rest, the ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo might be the right choice!

Touch Display – Is it Worth it?

The ASUS ZenBook Pro Duo features an impressive 4K touch display, featuring a nearly bezel-less design. There are however still some concerns about its usefulness in everyday computing tasks. Can users really utilize such a high-resolution touch display? We took it for a spin to find out.

Battery Life & Charging Speed

The charging speed of Asus’s latest flagship 4K laptop is an eye-opening experience. Thanks to its 100W power adapter, you can expect to fully charge its 85Wh battery in only 2 hours and 30 minutes—that’s faster than most laptops we’ve tested (including ASUS’s own new ZenBook 13) when it comes to charging speed. And that means more time for fun!

Pros & Cons

Pros- The ASUS ZenBook Pro is a solid 4K laptop with great looks and capabilities. Although it has a large weight and size, it has many great features that make up for it. The storage capacity is fantastic, allowing for multiple files to be stored at once. It comes with both fast processing speed and access speed; perfect for those of you who are in need of computers fast. If you have been looking to purchase a laptop, then you should look into purchasing an ASUS ZenBook Pro.

2) MSI Creator 15 Professional 4K Laptop

Looking to get a new laptop that’s both durable and beautiful? The MSI 15 Professional 4K laptop may be just what you’re looking for. Featuring a sleek brushed aluminum design and powerful 8th Gen Intel processor, the MSI 15 will look great on your desk at work and your coffee table at home. Weighing in at just 4 pounds, the MSI 15 is an ultraportable laptop that’s ready to go wherever you need it to go! Here are the specs of this 4K laptop and my review.

Design, Display, and Ports

The MSI 15 Professional has a simple black plastic finish and a brushed metal design that gives it an elegant look, with nothing to distract from your content. It’s thin enough to slip into your bag but heavy enough for a solid feel. The screen is sharp, with vivid colors and precise details making it a pleasure to work on. With an HDMI port and two USB 3.0 ports on board, it can connect effortlessly to other devices for professional presentations and webinars at home or in meetings.

Keyboard, Trackpad, and Battery Life

The MSI GE72 4K laptop feels comfortable to type on, but it could use more travel. The trackpad is responsive and easy to use. The battery life lasted five hours and 44 minutes on our battery test—quite a lot longer than most gaming laptops under the $2,000 offer. MSI claims it gets six hours of usage with a video looping in Windows 10’s power-saving mode, but that’s not what we saw during testing.

Software & Gaming Performance

A Windows laptop is best for gaming if it has a high-resolution display and a powerful graphics processor. You’ll also want to make sure it has an SSD—solid-state drives with 128GB or more of storage can dramatically speed up game loading times, giving you more time to play. For Macs, look for specs like 10-series Intel Core processors and AMD Radeon Pro graphics cards.

Heat and Noise

The 15 is a gaming machine through and through, so it’s worth noting that it runs pretty hot—which means you’ll want to avoid touching its underside while it’s in use. The fans do spin up frequently, too, so those who live in noisy apartments or are used to working in libraries may find they have to listen to a lot of fan noise while using this 4K laptop.

3) HP – Envy 13.3″ Ultra HD Touch-Screen 4K Laptop

HP’s Envy 13 is one of the most beautiful laptops I’ve ever seen, but looks aren’t everything. So how does it perform as a business laptop? In this review, I go over the HP Envy 13’s design, screen, keyboard, performance, and other features to determine whether it’s an ideal choice for those who need strong productivity features in a stylish and portable package.

Introduction

Hello and welcome to my review of HP’s new ultra-high-definition touch screen laptop, the Envy 13.3 Ultra HD Touchscreen 4K Laptop. In today’s day and age, technology is constantly improving, therefore making it essential to have a laptop that can keep up with our ever-changing needs and demands. That’s where computers like these come in! The HP Envy Series is known for its top-notch performance along with its thin design, as well as eye-catching aesthetics and more!

Design of Touch-Screen 4K Laptop

The sleek, ultraportable HP ENVY 4K laptop stands out with a brilliant new look—and has, even more, to offer on your mobile journey with powerful Intel processing, long battery life, and a built-in DVD player/burner. Featuring an expansive 13.3 diagonal touch screen, it is at once easier to use and better than ever before for watching movies and viewing photos from its large display that is framed by a thin bezel design.

Keyboard & Touchpad

The keys have excellent feedback, even when pounding on them in one frenzied typing session, and they are large enough to where you won’t be missing those buttons that always make you wonder whether you hit them or not. The touchpad is spacious and has a very smooth surface that makes it easy to glide your finger across with accuracy and ease.

Performance & Battery Life

This ultrabook comes with an Intel Core i7 processor, 8GB RAM, and 128GB SSD drive and I/O ports. The performance is above average and no lag or delay was experienced during my time using it, even while streaming in full 1080p resolution on multiple tabs at once.

Software

This machine comes loaded with all sorts of software—Adobe Creative Cloud, Windows 10, and plenty more. Since I’m not a heavy user, most of it isn’t something I have to worry about digging into and that’s a good thing for me because I don’t enjoy learning new things if I don’t have to. The Envy has everything you need already on it so you can just start working right away!

4) Razer Blade 15 Base Gaming 4K Laptop

The Razer Blade 15 Base Gaming 4K Laptop is designed to be the ultimate laptop gaming experience while staying portable enough to carry with you on the go. After playing around with this gaming laptop, we have come away with some conclusions and feature suggestions that could make this gaming 4K laptop even better than it already is! We’ve compared it to the Alienware R9 and found the Blade 15 to be superior in most ways!

Audio/Video Quality

It sounds as if a single microphone is being used for both video and audio recording, it’s a little too quiet and sometimes difficult to hear. It’s much better than it used to be (which was just nothing), but I still would recommend getting an external mic if you plan on doing any sort of Let’s Play videos. With that said, some people don’t like external mics, so at least they are trying with their internal hardware.

Heat Management of Razer Blade 15 4K Laptop

The Razer Blade 15 features a new thermal system that keeps your core components running cooler than ever. Three internal heat pipes are tasked with dissipating heat from dedicated CPU and GPU cooling fans, while side-mounted intake fans keep your palm rests cool. The result is a laptop that runs 10 percent cooler and performs at least 12 percent faster than previous models. You’ll never have to choose between power and portability again.

Battery Life and Charging

Razer says that you’ll get around 5 hours of battery life out of a single charge, which is pretty much in line with my experience. It charges really quickly, though—in less than an hour. You’ll also be happy to know that Razer says its gaming 4K laptop can last up to 12 hours on power-saving mode and up to 10 hours with better-performance settings enabled.

5) GIGABYTE AERO 15 OLED KD – 15.6 UHD 4K Laptop

The GIGABYTE AERO 15 OLED KD-15.6 UHD 4k Laptop has been lauded as one of the best gaming laptops on the market today and we will take an in-depth look at this laptop to see if it lives up to its reputation. While this laptop does not have an SD card slot, it does have a lot of other features that will make you stand up and take notice of this very expensive laptop. Is it worth the money? Read our full review to find out!

Build Quality and Design

The GIGABYTE Aero 15 is stunning to look at, but it’s not just a pretty face. The laptop features a brushed aluminum cover that makes it feel premium and sturdy. It has a sleek appearance with thin bezels around its display, which makes it suitable for use in both professional and domestic environments. Plus, there are plenty of ports to make sure you have all your bases covered. Three USB ports are included; two on either side and one Type-C port on its left side.

Screen, Keyboard, and Trackpad of 4K Laptop

The screen is one of my favorite features on GIGABYTE’s new 15.6-inch laptop. This particular model features an FHD (1920 x 1080) 10-point multi-touch IPS-type display with a matte finish, which means that viewing angles are limited and glare might be an issue in bright environments.

Conclusion

For those who love to game and are willing to pay a little extra, GIGABYTE has made a 4K laptop that can handle VR gaming in stride. The downside is it is expensive with a retail price of $1,900. If you’re into VR and can afford it, then consider adding it to your collection. Otherwise, you may want to explore other options on our list.

6) HP 17.3 FHD IPS Premium 4K Laptop

There are many HP laptop models on the market, but not all of them are worth considering. The HP 17.3 FHD Premium Laptop, however, gets high marks from users and reviewers alike. Here are some of the features that make this 4K laptop stand out from the crowd

For those of you who are on a budget and need a good gaming laptop that does not cost an arm and a leg, then I have good news for you. The HP 17.3 FHD IPS Premium Laptop is really affordable as it costs around $700-$800 depending on where you purchase it from. I’ve taken some time to review it and will give you an honest assessment of how it has performed thus far with regards to performance, build quality, battery life, and more!

Keyboard and Touchpad of IPS Premium 4K Laptop

The keyboard is responsive, with a decent amount of travel, and each key feels fairly stable, meaning that typing on it is a pleasing experience overall. The trackpad below feels smooth and comfortable to use and even supports multi-touch gestures such as pinch-to-zoom, three-finger swipe to switch apps, etc. Overall an excellent trackpad that glides smoothly across most surfaces I tested it on.

Hardware, Ports, and Connectivity

This computer comes with a non-backlit keyboard that contains a full-size number pad and high-quality scissor-switch keys for responsiveness and comfort. This model has two USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI output, a headphone jack, and an Ethernet port available on its right side.

Conclusion

Overall, I’d say that for a $749 4K laptop, you could do a lot worse than picking up an HP 17.3-inch laptop like my model here. I personally haven’t been able to run any high-performance applications on it, but so far it does a great job as my day-to-day workhorse, and I see no reason why it wouldn’t be able to serve most basic users well.

7) HP 17 Laptop Computer Windows 11

HP has been manufacturing quality laptops for over a decade now, and the HP 17 Laptop Computer Windows 11 falls in line with their well-established track record of high-quality products. The device itself comes at an affordable price and offers plenty of features that enhance its user experience in several ways. If you’re looking to buy your first laptop, or if you’re simply in the market for an upgrade, then this laptop will give you just what you’re looking for at the right price point.

Unboxing the Laptop

HP was founded in 1939 by Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard, two Stanford graduates who started out selling ham radio equipment. In 1948, they decided to begin selling their own line of oscillators, marking HP’s first venture into computer hardware. These days, HP is still a leading innovator in personal computers with many high-quality products including laptops, workstations, and desktops.

The build quality is excellent. I have no complaints at all on that front. It feels sturdy and well built. The 4K laptop itself is quite lightweight and extremely portable but still feels sturdy in your hands.

Display Section of HP 17 4K Laptop

The display on HP’s 17-inch laptop is a real stunner. The screen comes in at an eye-popping 1920 x 1080 resolution and features a matte finish that’s a nice alternative to glossy screens. I didn’t notice any glare when using it outside, and dark black levels helped to keep details easy to see even when watching a fast-paced movie.

Performance and Battery Life Section

Overall, I was really happy with how well my laptop runs and how long it lasts. I tend to use my laptop to do work as opposed to play games or watch videos, so I always prioritize performance over battery life. That being said, having both is nice. One thing that makes me very happy about my HP 17 4K Laptop Computer is that it works just as well after a few hours of being unplugged as it does when it’s freshly charged.

8) Acer Swift 3 Thin & Light 4K Laptop

If you’re in the market for a new laptop, you might want to consider the Acer Swift 3. This model combines performance and portability, featuring 7th generation Intel Core i5 dual-core processors, 8GB of RAM, and a 256GB solid-state drive (SSD). The Swift 3 also has 4K resolution, which means it has four times as many pixels as full HD displays and thus offers superior image quality when viewing pictures or video content.

Ports and Connectivity

The Acer Swift 3 has all of your ports and connectivity options covered. There are two USB-C (Gen 1) ports, a headset jack, an SD card reader, and an HDMI port. For wireless connectivity, there is Bluetooth 4.1 and Wi-Fi 802.11ac with 2×2 MIMO antennas for fast connections to all of your favorite devices in your home or office network.

Screen, Keyboard, and Touchpad

When it comes to laptops, there’s nothing more important than a solid screen. The Swift 3 has a 14-inch 1920 x 1080 display that is completely brilliant in every way. It does not come with touch functionality, which isn’t surprising at all given its thin and light size.

Summary of Acer Swift 4K Laptop

The Acer Swift 3 is a sleek and powerful 4K laptop that offers great value. It comes with a high-quality keyboard, a built-in fingerprint reader, and 8GB of RAM. In addition, it’s surprisingly lightweight and performs well in most everyday tasks. The battery life is impressive for its size; users can expect about 9 hours on a full charge with average use.

9) HP 14″ Touchscreen Home and Business 4K Laptop

The HP 14 Touchscreen Home and Business 4K Laptop provides users with an affordable computing solution with plenty of features that make the machine suitable for use both at home and in the office. This review will take an in-depth look at the features of this affordable laptop, as well as examine some of its competition to see how it stacks up against its peers. Find out if this computer has what it takes to help you get work done on the go with our HP 14 Touchscreen Home and Business 4K Laptop Review!

Specs Overview

This laptop can connect to multiple devices using WiFi, Bluetooth, or USB connections. It also has a webcam for doing video chats. With an AMD E2-9000 APU processor, there are two cores, clocked at 1 GHz with a turbo boost to 2 GHz.

Looks, Design & Feel

There are so many great features of these laptops that you will find it hard to pick just one or two. The overall design of these computers is sleek, modern, and elegant. The display is incredibly stunning, with extremely vibrant colors (especially with 4k resolution) which makes it easy to navigate through all of your favorite photos and videos with ease.

Software & Ecosystem of 4K Laptop

The HP OMEN is a premium product, meaning that it offers lots of cool bells and whistles for anyone looking to get a whole lot out of their 4K laptop. The OMEN comes with an abundance of software, including HP’s own suite, Microsoft Office, VLC media player, and other standard programs. In addition to everything else in its software bag of tricks, HP also boasts that all its laptops are guaranteed to run 100% compatible with Windows Mixed Reality headsets once they’re released later in 2017.

10) CHUWI HeroBook Pro 14.1 inch Laptop PC

If you’re looking for a new 4K laptop, the CHUWI HeroBook Pro 14.1-inch Laptop PC should be on your radar. With its sleek design and amazing features, it’s an excellent choice for anyone who wants to have the power of a desktop in their pocket. Here’s my full review of this impressive computer!

First impressions

When you pick up a laptop, you generally want to feel that it’s going to withstand some light knocks and bumps; with its metallic chassis, solid build quality, and rigid body, it feels as though you could throw it down a flight of stairs without any real worry of damage. One of my favorite features is that there are no visible screws on the show – instead, all paneling is finished off with a seamless look, which adds to its premium feel.

Display and Sound Quality of CHUWI HeroBook 4K Laptop

The CHUWI HeroBook Pro’s display is bright, sharp, and vibrant. It features a Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution with a touchscreen that worked great with my fingers but didn’t seem to support a stylus (which was strange).

The CHUWI is pretty powerful, but it’s impressive to see just how long a charge can last you if you don’t throw too many high-demand apps at it. On our battery test (Web surfing via Wi-Fi with brightness at 50 percent) it ran for 6 hours and 11 minutes before giving out, which is far better than most slim 4K laptops in its class—and that includes most Windows machines.

Software, Camera, and Connectivity

The CHUWI HeroBook Pro comes with Windows 10 out of the box and is able to handle some basic computing tasks without any issue whatsoever. There is no bloatware in sight, at least when we reviewed it, and while there are several shortcut icons on the desktop, none of them link to any software or online content by default – but you can choose to use them if you wish.

Pros & Cons

The CHUWI HeroBook Pro has quite a few nice features and is packed with good specs, but there are some tradeoffs to consider before deciding if it’s right for you. First of all, it comes at a fairly low price compared to other similarly specced laptops, so that’s a big plus for many buyers.

4K Laptops FAQs:

Which laptop supports 4K video?

If you’re looking at a laptop that supports 4K video, make sure you also get a screen that can reproduce it at that resolution. Today, laptops with 4K screens start at around $1,000 and go up from there.

Is 4K better than eyesight?

Ok, you got me there. But seriously, it’s all about picking a laptop with a display that’s actually useful. If you sit within 10 feet of your monitor, use Windows 10 and don’t have astigmatism, then a 3840 x 2160 display will let you see more details and text at once than a 1920 x 1080 display.

Is it worth upgrading from 1080p to 4K?

Even though there are plenty of high-quality 1080p monitors out there, it’s a good idea to think about your options as you begin shopping. In fact, you might even want to consider upgrading your 1080p screen if it’s older or doesn’t have very crisp picture quality. If you decide that a full upgrade is right for you, then it’s time to start looking at 4K laptops.
