10 Bedding Sets

What Makes a Great Set? Bedding sets can be found everywhere these days. Stores like Target, Kohl’s, Macy’s, and JCPenney carry them. Big box stores like Bed Bath & Beyond stock them as well.

The number of retailers that offer bedding sets has increased in recent years because of their popularity and desirability with consumers (they are a tremendous money-maker for stores to sell since shoppers often buy other items when they come into a store to purchase bedding). But beyond the big brands you see in brick-and-mortar stores, online retailers also have a plethora of options for consumers too.

5 Mattress Pads

Mattress pads are soft and comfortable additions to your bed. They protect your mattress from stains, dirt, spills, and other accidents that can ruin a mattress. These pads are available in single sizes for extra-large mattresses and full/queen sizes for standard beds. Using a mattress pad on top of your sheets is a good way to sleep more comfortably because it keeps you warm but still allows you access to cool sheets at night.

It also helps prolong the life of your mattress by protecting it from allergens and other factors. Bed & Bath Product Buyer’s Guide: Mattress Pads provides an easy comparison between seven different brands of foam, quilted, and waterproof mattress pads; read our guide before buying one!

3 Bed Frames

Having a bed frame helps keep your mattress in place and can add style to your room. Bed frames are especially helpful if you’re using an adjustable bed, which allows you to raise or lower your head, arm, and leg sections.

Adjustable beds are often used for patients recovering from surgery or seniors with physical ailments that make it difficult to get out of bed on their own. And if you tend to share your bed with a partner, having one also makes sense since they can be adjusted in height so each person gets enough space while sleeping together.

7 Duvet Covers

Duvet covers are bedding accessories that can add some pizzazz to a room. More importantly, they help keep your comforter, sheets and pillows clean by keeping them protected from dust and dirt. Since most duvet covers go on top of existing bedding, it’s smart to choose one that matches or compliments your current set.

Duvet cover colors can range from solid colors (black, white, blue) to stripes or patterns, and with so many choices out there it might be a good idea to do some research before you shop for one. We’ve compiled a list of 7 best-selling duvet covers to get you started

7 Pillow Cases

The right pillow can transform your night of sleep into a rejuvenating experience. You don’t have to be an expert in ergonomics to understand that a good pillow is a key to avoiding back pain and ensuring that you wake up feeling rested and energized.

For many people, pillows are also perceived as having health benefits beyond a solid night of rest; some even say pillows can improve circulation, alleviate headaches and help with seasonal allergies. Picking out your ideal pillow may feel like a daunting task, but our list of the 7 best bed & bath products will help you make an informed decision when shopping for your new favorite pillowcase. Here are 7 tips for buying a good pillowcase.

4 Drapes

Drapes can dramatically change a room. A good rule of thumb is to measure your windows diagonally and add 12-18 inches. If you’re going to use a liner, add 6 inches to that length. If you want a full look, start with 36 inches of fabric at either side of your window before adding a valance or other additional embellishments.

It’s also important to consider how much light gets into each room—open blinds or drapes for natural sunlight, but close them when you want to reduce glare from artificial lighting. Along those lines, don’t forget about safety: Kids could get tangled in large drapes if they are left open during playtime.

6 Sheets

If you buy cotton sheets, look for 100 percent long-staple cotton. Pima and Supima are types of long-staple cotton. These threads make sheets softer, more breathable, and more durable than other sheets made from shorter staple cotton.

Even if they’re not labeled as such, high-quality sheets almost always contain 100 percent long-staple cotton. If a set is only 70 percent or 80 percent long-staple cotton (or worse, short-staple), it likely won’t last very long before falling apart.
