How to turn on Wifi on LG Tv in 5 Easy Steps

Setting up wifi on your Lg Tv can be tricky. With so many different models of TVs, each with its own quirks, it can be difficult to find the right steps to connect your tv to wifi. Follow these easy five steps to turn on the wifi on your LG tv and get connected in no time! Note that there are slight variations between the different series and models of Lg TVs, but most of them follow this basic set of instructions.

Step 1: Make sure you have updated software

Before you can use a feature such as Wi-Fi, you need to make sure that feature is turned on. For example, not every LG TV has built-in Wi-Fi capabilities, but if yours does, you’ll want to make sure it’s up-to-date. If not, check out LG’s user manual and look for software updates. Make sure there are no firmware updates or new versions of any apps that could help improve your viewing experience and overall TV performance.

Step 2: Select the network

After you’ve selected Wifi Direct, a list of available networks will pop up. Select LG_SmartTV and enter your network password when prompted. When entering a network password, make sure it is exactly as shown. If it is not entered correctly, then you will not be able to connect to your LG Smart TV with Wifi Direct.

Step 3: Enter Security Key

If you have a security key, enter it in order to connect successfully. Otherwise, skip Step 3 and proceed with Step 4. If you need assistance finding your security key, ask a knowledgeable friend or search online for instructions. You can also contact LG customer service or consult an LG user guide. Once you find it, enter your security key as shown below. Now press Connect and wait for a couple of seconds while the TV attempts to connect to the network.

Step 4: Connect Now

Selecting Connect Now takes you directly to connecting an available network. Since our LG TV came with a smartphone, we can connect immediately. Make sure you select Connect now if prompted and follow any additional prompts as needed. If your LG TV didn’t come with a smartphone, skip ahead to Step 5 below.

Step 5: Go To Home Screen And Look For Wifi Icon

Before you can start connecting with any device, you will have to find an available connection. For example, if there? are multiple devices connected with Ethernet cables, you will have to connect via WiFi. Use your remote’s directional pad and up button for a couple of seconds until you reach Home Screen. Here you will see two icons: Network and Settings. Click Network. You should see that different WiFi connection are available depending on how many network connections are available within the range of your TV.
